Hapa-palooza Festival 2017

A vibrant fusion of music, dance, literary, artistic and film performances, Hapa-palooza places prominence on celebrating and stimulating awareness of mixed-heritage and cultural hybrid identity. Hapa-palooza is the first mixed roots festival in Canada, and is currently one of the largest festivals celebrating mixed heritage in the world.

– September 22nd: Hip Hapa Hooray Gala (CBC Studio 700), we kick off celebrations with hapa-tizers and drinks to honour members of the Hapa community;
– September 23rd: Hapa Family Day in the Park (Granville Island Picnic Pavilion), free, family-friendly community afternoon of music, dancing, balloon art, and face painting which welcomes all heritages and ages;
– September 24th: Hapa-palooza Festival at WORD Vancouver (VPL Central Branch), a free literary event open to all, celebrating unique voices coming together!
